How To Reduce The Swollen Pimple Overnight

Acne or pimples are common skin and beauty problem that affects a large number of women and teenagers. The affected area can become swollen, irritated and red due to this. It causes a lot of distress and tension to the person who has it. There are many treatments and remedies available for reducing the swelling in a pimple. It includes natural remedies with common kitchen ingredients like cucumber, tea, and other things. Some people use clay masks for this purpose. We will give some tips for healing the swelling in a pimple.

Following Are Some Tips On How To Reduce The Swollen Pimple Overnight.

1. Use Ice Pack

Use ice pack to heal swelling and other problems caused by a pimple. For this, fill ice in a cloth bag. Apply the ice pack on the affected pimple and hold for a few minutes. Repeat this several times in a day. The pimple will reduce within two days.[1]

2. Use Toothpaste

Use toothpaste to reduce the swelling in a pimple. For this, apply a very little amount of toothpaste on affected skin areas over the swollen pimple. Do this before sleeping at night. The swelling will reduce when you wake up next day.[2]


3. Use Witch Hazel

Witch hazel has astringent properties and it helps in healing a swollen and red pimple. Dip cotton in Witch hazel and apply on the affected area on the pimple. Use a Witch hazel that does not contain alcohol. Alcohol based Witch hazel can cause skin dryness and irritation. Thus, avoid it.[3]

4. Use Apple Cider Vinegar

Use apple cider vinegar for healing a pimple and reducing its swelling. Dip cotton in the vinegar. Apply on the pimple. The astringent properties of the vinegar help in drying the pimple in a short time while decreasing the swelling in it.[4]

5. Use Honey

Honey has disinfectant properties, which heals infection and swelling in a pimple. Dip cotton in honey and apply on the swollen pimple. Wash the skin after half an hour by using lukewarm water. Another way to get rid of a pimple is to mix honey with cinnamon powder. Apply the paste on the pimple at night before sleeping. Wash the skin on the next day.[5]


6. Use Aspirin

Make powder of aspirin tablet by grinding or crushing it. Add a very little amount of water to the aspirin powder. Apply the mixture over affected swollen areas over a pimple. Wash the skin after five minutes using lukewarm water. Do this before sleeping at night daily. Aspirin heals swelling and inflammation on acne affected skin.[6]


7. Use Tea Bag

Heal a swollen pimple with the help of a used tea bag. Prepare tea by using a tea bag of black tea. Remove excess water from it by squeezing the tea bag and cool it. After that, apply the eta bag on the pimple. It will decrease the swelling in the affected areas.[7]

8. Use Calamine Lotion

Use calamine lotion for getting rid of a pimple and reduce swelling in it. Apply calamine lotion on the affected areas on a pimple. Do this before sleeping at night. Wait till it becomes dry and then go to sleep. When you wake up next day, wash the skin by using soap and water. It will help in drying the pimple very fast and removing swelling and marks ion it.[8]

9. Use Lemon Juice

Lemon juice has germicide and astringent properties, which helps in healing swelling and infection in a pimple. For this, dip cotton in lemon juice and apply on the affected areas over a swollen pimple. Do this at night. Wash the skin on the next day after waking up.[9]
