Feet are susceptible to various infections, cracked heels, corns, calluses, warts, pain caused due to ill-fitting shoes, etc. and need constant care.There are some homemade foot soaks that can help relax your feet and relieve discomfort due to pain and infections. You can alter the components of the foot soak to suit your needs. For example, you can add a few drops of lavender oil to any other foot soak to relax your feet and your senses.

Homemade Foot Soaks To Rejuvenate Your Feet:

Epsom Salt:

Add some Epsom salt to a tub of warm water and soak your feet until the water cools. This foot soak helps detox the entire body and relieves muscle pain in the feet. Our feet have the largest pores in the entire body. Hence the excess water from our feet drains out through these pores and helps relieve swollen feet.

Essential Oil:

Each essential oil helps your feet in different ways.Peppermint oil is Anti-inflammatory.Lavender oil relieves stress and relaxes the body. Lemon oil improves blood circulation.Rosemary oil relieves foot aches and pains. Tea tree oil is Anti-fungal and helps in foot infections.Add a few drops of your chosen essential oil to a tub of warm water. Mix Epsom salt and soak your feet.

Honey And Vinegar:

Honey has antibacterial properties and treats foot infections. Mix honey and vinegar in a tub of warm water. Cut up a lemon and add the slices to the tub. Lemon helps remove dead skin cells. Soak your feet for 15 minutes. Scrub the feet to remove dead skin.

Baking Soda:

Mix Baking soda and vinegar in a tub of warm water. Soak your feet for 20 minutes. This foot soak is very effective for smelly feet and fungal infections in the feet.Alternatively, strain out the water after cooking rice. Mix baking soda to this water and soak your feet. Rice water improves blood circulation and baking soda treats foot infections.


Mix camphor gel or cream to a tub of warm water and soak your feet. Camphor is an antiseptic and has anti-fungal properties. This foot soak remedies cracked and rough heels.
