Tendonitis is the inflammation of tendons that connect muscle to bone. A tendon is a tough yet flexible connective tissue that enables you to walk, jump, dance and lift. Sometimes the tendons become inflamed for a variety of reasons and the muscle movement becomes painful. Tendonitis often involves the shoulder, elbow wrist, hip, knee and ankle and often results from overuse of muscles in these parts. It is recommended to rest the injured part at least for a short time. This helps in reducing inflammation. Herbs are proved to be effective in speeding up the process of healing and repair.
