Gastritis is inflammation erosion and swelling of inner lining of stomach. Some parts of stomach or the entire gastro region can be involved. Some people might find its taste irritating and so difficulty in swallowing; for that you can mix it with boiling water and honey cool it down and drink or you may mix it with milk boil it down till it reduces by 20% and drink.

These drinks are very soothing for your smooth and really help in reducing symptoms. Alternatively if you are comfortable with taste of ginger you can even chew the pieces. Some stores selling ayurvedic medicines have dried ginger powder; you can even try that form as per convenience.

Triphala

Triphala powder is easily available in ayurvedic stores. It is made up of powders of three dried fruits which are amla, beleric and harad. In ayurvedic medicine this powder is very beneficial and for patients suffering from gastritis it helps with digestion, reduces constipation, provides relief from gas and bloating and helps cleaning the gastrointestinal tract.

This powder is best used when it is boiled with water then reduced to half the quantity; to this a spoon of ghee is added and consumed. This is one of the best remedies for gastritis.

Fennel seeds or saunff when regularly chewed in small quantities is helpful in reducing symptoms of gastritis. It also reduces gastritis associated bad breath.
